About Next Step Marketing
Next Step Marketing helps business owners make sense of scattered marketing, unclear reporting, weak follow-up, and channels that are not working together.
We bring strategy and execution into the same conversation so your website, campaigns, leads, follow-up, and next decisions are aimed at the same target.
Why NSM exists
Next Step Marketing began as Next Step Sites in 2023. The original focus was helping businesses build a stronger online presence. But the same pattern kept showing up: a better website could help, but it could not solve the whole problem by itself.
Businesses also needed better lead generation, clearer follow-up, stronger messaging, practical reporting, and a plan that connected the moving parts. That is why Next Step Sites evolved into Next Step Marketing.
The short version
Marketing should not feel like a pile of disconnected tasks. It should work like a system that helps the business see what to do next.
Leadership
Director of Client Strategy
Strategy led with an operator’s mindset
James Zapico brings a project engineer and engineering manager background to marketing. Before leading client strategy at Next Step Marketing, he managed complex technical initiatives where success depended on seeing the bigger picture, coordinating resources, managing variables, and keeping the work aimed at a clear target.
That background shapes how NSM approaches growth. The goal is not to add more activity for the sake of activity. The goal is to understand the system, identify the friction, and focus the next move where it can matter most.
As Director of Client Strategy, James’s role is to keep the strategy clear, the execution connected, and the work pointed toward the business outcome the client is trying to reach.
How we think about marketing
We do not treat marketing as a collection of disconnected channels. Your website, campaigns, offers, follow-up, and reporting should help each other instead of competing for attention.
We look for the places where the current marketing system creates confusion, wasted effort, weak handoffs, or missed opportunities.
We help decide what needs to be said, shown, measured, simplified, or improved so buyers have an easier path to take action.
We keep the plan close to the work. Strategy should guide what gets built, tested, reported, and refined.
Reporting should make decisions easier, not harder. We translate performance into plain-English insight about what is happening and what should be considered next.
Common pressure points
NSM is a fit for businesses that already have momentum but know their marketing could be working in a cleaner, more connected way.
