When Abide Christian Academy was forming during a major organizational transition, families needed a clear way to understand the school and leadership needed a dependable place to explain its mission, learning paths, admissions process, and next steps.
Next Step Marketing built the school’s WordPress website and continues to support it. The result is a professional, mobile-friendly online home that helps parents find the information they need while giving the school a reliable place to grow.
“I am incredibly grateful to have James Zapico as both my website creator and support person. From the inception of my website to its ongoing maintenance, James has consistently demonstrated professionalism, expertise, and dedication to excellence.”
Lacy Abouo, Founder and Executive Director, Abide Christian Academy
What the site needed to do
Abide Christian Academy is a Bible-based school in the Salt Lake Valley, Utah, serving students from junior kindergarten through high school through two educational models.
For prospective families, the website is often the first practical step in deciding whether the school feels like the right fit. It needed to communicate the school’s mission, curriculum, admissions process, staff, contact options, and learning paths in a way that was easy to use on any device.
The site also had to reflect the heart of the school: a safe, grace-filled community rooted in Biblical truth.
A website built for change
Next Step Marketing handled the website design and build, then put the essential pieces in place for the school to keep communicating as it evolves:
- WordPress maintenance and security updates,
- hosting, domain, DNS, and email support,
- contact forms and ongoing content changes,
- staff, tuition, program, and business-structure updates,
- speed tuning and accessibility improvements,
- and practical support when a new request comes up.
That matters for a school because the information families rely on changes. Programs, calendars, staff details, tuition language, and admissions information all need to remain current. Abide can send the request, and Next Step Marketing turns it into a working update without asking leadership to become website managers.
A website families actually use
The site is doing the work it was built to do. In a recent 12-month Google Analytics window, it recorded more than 3,500 active users, more than 5,100 sessions, and more than 10,000 page views.
Visitors are using practical decision pages, including contact, curriculum, tuition and application, about, and the school’s two learning paths. The site also saw more mobile activity than desktop activity during that period, which makes a clear mobile experience especially important for parents researching schools around daily life.
Support that keeps the site useful
A website can look good at launch and still become a problem if nobody keeps it current. Broken forms, stale staff pages, outdated program details, and delayed updates can make it harder for families to get the information they need.
Abide has a partner who already understands the site and can respond when the school needs something changed. That lets leadership focus on students and families instead of hosting, forms, security updates, or the technical details behind the website.
What this project shows
For schools, nonprofits, local businesses, and other mission-driven organizations, a website should do more than make a strong first impression. It should make information easy to find today and remain useful as the organization changes.
Abide Christian Academy’s website shows how a thoughtful build and responsive maintenance can work together: a credible public presence, a better experience for visitors, and support that continues after launch.
